Georgian Flamed Mahogany Box 1810
Here we have a ex tea caddy made from flamed mahogany with boxwood inlay all around. It’s got an unusual stepped shape to the lid which is a nice touch. On the sides it comprises of two brass basket drop handles which are fitting to this era. The interior is empty and would of started life as a tea caddy. It can be used now as a general useful decorative box. This box dates to the Georgian period 1810 and comes with a fully functioning lock and key.
