Rosewood and Satinwood Lap Desk c.1830 SOLD
A glorious quality lap desk made from a combination of rosewood and satinwood inlaid together in a striped pattern. It’s in great condition all around with a floral pattered mother of pearl inlay beside the escutcheon. The lids open out in two sections, one compartment for the writing materials and one compartment for the writing pad section. There is also another storage compartment underneath that. Comes with two original ink wells and a leather writing pad. Comes with fully functioning lock and key and dates to William iv 1830.
