French Amboyna Jewellery Box c.1880 SOLD

A lovely decorative example of a French amboyna jewellery box.  Very intricate ebony cross banding throughout the lid and with a brass plaque design inlay to the centre lid.  Brass bounding around the whole edging of the box add to the quality and style of the piece.  It comes with a working lock and key.  The interior is silk and completely original to the box.  A few expected used patina marks where expected.
