A stunning jewellery box made from a number of woods.  The main exterior wood is rosewood with cross banding of boxwood and ebony inlay.  It consists of an iconic shell inlay to the centre lid which is also made from boxwood.  The sides comprises of rare bee’s nest brass drop handles.  It sits on rounded brass feet.  The box is in a overall stunning condition with no defects at all.  The interior consists of a fully installed jewellery tray with ring rolls to the sides.  Underneath is more storage.  It comes with a fully functioning lock and key.  This example dates to the Georgian period 1820's.
