Georgian Ex Gun Box c.1800

A fine example of a Georgian period mahogany ex-gun box, c. early 19th century. Crafted from rich, well-patinated mahogany, this box features brass corner protectors, typical of the robust construction associated with travelling and utility boxes of the era.
Originally used for storing gun equipment, the box has since been lined, making it suitable for modern use as a storage or presentation piece. Complete with a working lock and key.
