Tunbridge Ware 8 Sided Tea Caddy 1870 SOLD

An exceptional inlaid tea caddy made from an array of inlaid woods.  A Tunbridge ware design with a mixture of ebony, satinwood, mahogany, walnut and coromandel.  The main exterior wood being kingwood.  Strung edging made from boxwood and ebony in a decorative design.  A hexagonal shape in a lovely condition and finish.  The interior comprises of two original lids with silver lining inside to help preserve the tea.  It comes with a fully functional lock and key dating Victorian 1870.
